Thus far, Davit Mitchell has written eight novels; however, only seven have been published. His novel From Me Flows What You Call Time was buried in Oslo, Norway in 2016 as part of the Future Library project. It will not be unearthed until 2114, at which time it will presumably be published.

Mitchell is also credited as translator of the Japanese non-fiction book The Reason I Jump (2013), written by Naoki Higashida. He was credited along with his wife, Keiko Yoshida, who was credited as K.A. Yoshida.
